2.Lucile was my great-grandmother's name. A person who will forever hold a very special place in my heart. One who shone God's love to everyone around her. I look forward to seeing her again one day in Heaven.
3.Mommy's taking bets that little Adah is going to give big brother Camden a run for his money in the cheeks department. The nurses didn't believe the first weighing as she feels much heftier than a mere 8.5...they even double checked. As did they with her length after getting a whopping 23"....they decided on a conservative 22.5"...but Daddy says it was definitely more like 23"
Here's brother at not quite 3 months...he started out a 7 lbs. and didn't nurse well the entire first month. Adah is a piranha. Time will tell.
4.I am happy to say that Mama now has a mini-me. She couldn't look more like me if she tried. The cheeks look better on her, though.
5.Did you see her hair? Maybe the old wive's tale really is true. The heartburn this girl gave me was unbelievable! Either way, Mama now has 2 girlies giving her a serious case of hair envy.
6.To go with all that hair are the most beautiful eyelashes...lucky girl.
7.Mama is feeling great! This has been my best birth experience by far and I am so grateful! The worst part of the entire event was getting an I.V. The poor nurse ripped it out by accident and I had to breath very deeply to keep from fainting...all that blood! All I could think was, "If I faint, they won't do the operation!" (I know there are some great pics of that expression out there somewhere!) After 3 more tries (and much pain) she finally succeeded. My hand is still green and blue.
8.The kids adore their new sissy and someone is always on hand to hold her and pet her. Adah soaks up all the love and just gazes at everyone, memorizing their faces. She already knows she's special.
9.You should see her fingers and toes! The longest I've ever seen. Really. Her toes look like fingers, they're so long. She didn't get that from me! It's all I could see from across the room after she was born. That, and all her hair.
10.I haven't had much time for pics yet, but I'll share just one.
Sweet Adah.
3 days new.

Oh my. How precious she is. I keep wanting to come bombard your house so I can soak her up before her little cousin arrives but I have refrained.
I giggle every time I see that picture of Camden. Chubby-bubby!
Adah looks like Tessie in this picture.
We love you little girlie and I the boys pray every meal and at bedtime that you will only cry if you are hungry. =) (Adam also prays fervently for baby Avril to come out now too.)
