blood red?

yes.
blood red. You can't tell it by the pic, but the red extends almost completely around her iris.
And you can see the incision when she looks to the side.

Right this very moment she's outside running around with her brothers.
How's that for resilient?

yucky!
Poor thing...
The eye must not hurt! I now believe the Dr. now, cause Kira's never looked that bad on her whites of her eye, but it was yucky looking under her lids and she seemed to bounce back also.So glad it's not hurting her!
How very amazing the human eyes are!

She slept all night without Tylenol, so when she woke up this morning I asked if it hurt...
"Ya. But I'm bein tough about it 'cause that shows I'm growing up!"
It looks even worse to me now, though.

Ewww. I've had that happen to me. It didn't hurt. The opthalmologist said that mine was just a broken blood vessel which probably came from my taking aspirin, which thins the blood, and that the eye looked worse than it was. If your daughter's eye doesn't get better fast, you should take her to the doctor.
