tuesday

We had such a great weekend away.
Coming home was just as nice.

Camden got really sick on the way home.
It was the first asthma attack he's had in a long time.
We used the inhaler twice and still all he could do was concentrate on his breathing,
which was so labored that his heart was racing with the effort.
Then the fever hit. I was up all night checking on him.
Thankfully he was doing well by morning.
Now all he has is a cough.
Last night I had dreams all night of him dying of suffocation.

Adah has her evaluation with a physical therapist this Monday.
Pray that all goes well and that they can tell if there is something wrong or not.
I will feel so much better just knowing, one way or the other.

We have decided to wait until next year for Gwyneth's 3rd eye surgery.
I'm losing hope that they can even fix it.
Last time we saw huge improvement, only to watch it slowly make it's way back to almost never lining up correctly with her other eye.
I say it's high-time to pray over her.

School is going so wonderfully!
In fact, I love it. Really love it.
Teaching is so rewarding.
We got such a huge compliment today when one of Camden's classmates at church commented, "I'm so proud of Camden! He loves God so much. Every week he shares with us all the things he's been learning about God and all the Bible verses he's memorized."
That my child is the Godly influence to his (much older) friends and class mates fills me with so much joy. And holy fear. Please God, let me do it right. Not by the world's standards, but by yours.

Speaking of learning.
Jude and Gwyneth have been struggling, endlessly it seems, to keep their letter and/or sounds straight. I saw this recommended on another blog and decided to give it a whirl. It's helped. Tremendously. In fact, I think I may just get the entire set.

I don't think I'm anywhere near my 10 on Tuesday,
but I'll leave ya with this;
A classic example of the strangeness that my children exhibit each and every day.
Seriously. I love that they always know just how to make me laugh!

Yay, thanks for the heads up, I'm ordering for Preston right now!
He is doing good with what I give him, but I haven't pushed him in the least, which I think for him is a good thing, but maybe he won't even realize he's learning all this while watching a "movie". ;)
We will pray for Adah's coming meeting, that you get direct answers and not just a big list of maybe's!

hee hee. glad to see you're feeling better Camden! looks like it was made just for those perfectly round little nostrils.

i'm going to check out those videos. adam does really well with recognition and sounds but terrible with writing them. however, i think rowan may benefit from these.

love ya.
