9lbs. 15oz.
My fifth nephew.
(in case you didn't notice; his lucky number is 15)
Experiencing birth is my favorite thing in all the world.
There are no words to describe the miracle of it.
Maybe that's why I've had five of my own and still feel i need more(;
This was the 10th delivery i've witnessed (i think!)
But the very first all-natural delivery.
It was not her choice to do it this way, but it is what God had for her...and she was amazing!
This is my biggest post ever, so I'll let the pics do most of the talking (;
What? You lost all of my paperwork, so now i get to fill it out during labor?
No problem!
(aka Hells Bells!)
Just after being told she would have to deliver without an epidural...
Between the contractions they gave us their best comedy routine. No joke!
These two are a riot!!!
Jay decided to give the birthing ball a try lol!
Little Garhett was sunny side up with his head tilted...and not turning.
The doctors and nurses got scared at this point and almost changed their mind about the epidural...
but her platelets were still dropping rapidly, so there was really no choice.
Garhett had to turn on his own.
Mama was in so much pain and we prayed hard!!!
God answered and she pushed that little (big!) stinker out with three pushes...
Daddy updates for everyone praying...
The nurses affectionately dubbed him "bruiser" for more reasons than one(;
Such a cutie!
You can see his daddy and uncle Matt, his brothers and his cousin, Lane.
All in one sweet little face!
This is where i got to go home and sleep (or try to)
I set the camera settings and Jay took these pics of the kids meeting their brother for the very first time. Love them!
Adam:
"It kinda tickles me inside when i see Rhett. Its like i recognize him."

I've already told you how good your birthing pics are. I didn't tell you how glad I am that they are in black and white. Black and white has it's place and feels things that color wouldn't do.
gami
I love them!
Thank you so much.
I can't believe how much smaller he looks now!
He was back up to 9 lbs. 8 oz. on Friday. Trying to get him back up to birth weight by this Friday.
What would we do without cameras?
My number 10 is just as beautiful as 1-9 are. I am glad you are having big families. I might not be able to keep track of them but I am always delighted by them and can't ever get enough. Welcome baby Garhett. Grami loves you.
