Our little black sheep has been shorn.
And boy, was it about time.
I finally told Daddy that I wouldn't take him out of the house 'til it was done.
Even so, I think I hated it almost as much as Jude.
Aunt Tessa asked him the other day why he is so cute.
He replied, "Cause my have curly hair."
While it's not the only reason he's so cute,

Ohhhh he DOES!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is amazing...never noticed that before!
Jude you will always be cute... I have no doubts!
So much cuter than Macaulay Culkin! :)
Lip Smackers eh? I was beginning to think my son was the only one...:P
Kaylee is going to be so sad!
I must say, I love him either way!
I can't believe how different he looks now! I see the culkin in him, but yeah, he has so much more cuteness to him!
Aunt Shelby sure loves this boy!
I know the feeling...I hate when we have to cut Owen's hair....but love how much it changes his look! And everyone is exactly right....Jude is a cutie no matter what kind of hair do he has!
I agree. He is much cuter than Macaulay...but close enough to do a remake, no? (:
LOL Karina! We were going through the check-out at the grocery store and I saw a pack of lip smackers. The kids have been sooo sick that their entire faces are chapped, so I thought it might help to have something for them to put on their lips whenever they want. Funny to see him running around with pink chapstick...oh well.
Shelby, at the youth center yesterday Gwyneth told me she likes Uncle Chad. Jude piped up and added, "MY love Aunt Shelby!"
Oh. That makes me sad that he was so upset about it. I can remember feeling that way about haircuts myself a time or two.
ohhh!!! I love my Jude. =]
Oh Jude...when I saw your tears..gami had tears falling down her cheeks also. I loved your hair as it reminded me of Ronnie when he was little like you.
It was World WarII time and his daddy was overseas in the Airforce. His grandpa was in the Navy.
One day his grandpa paid us a visit during a Leave. I had to go to work and my dad asked if he could watch Ronnie instead of the sitter that day. They would go down to Nat Park for the day. OK that was fine.
When I came home I went into an anger shock. Dad had taken Ronnie to the barber shop and the curls were gone. Dad had to wear long curls until he was six years old and he said he wasn't having his grandson running around with curls. He didn't even ask me. I was furious. Ronnie could have kept the curls awhile longer.
Dad handed me an envelope from the barber. Inside was a little strawberry blonde ringlet. I knew the barber must have watched many a mom's tears when their son's had their first hair cut and he saved me a curl.
The ringlet curl hides away in the family album. Now it's a precious memory of a little boy with curly hair.
gami
Have no fear, mommy will be growing it out again. This isn't his first haircut, more like 10th? I find that after about 8 months or so I no longer know what to do with it. I simply can't make a trim look good because it's just sooo out of control. This kid has the thickest most AMAZING hair! Daddy even had a hard time buzzing it because it is so thick and wavy and growing in all directions. I guess I need someone who knows how to cut hair show me how it's done! (: I still miss those curls, but I must admit that his smile is what everyone notices now.
Gami, I would have been so very mad also! Men!
