These are "skinny" jeans.
You know. The kind that are supposed to be skin tight all the way to the ankle. Apparently she is too skinny for skinnies 'cause they fit her more like riding pants.
It makes sense.
Both of her parents were the same way.
Many years ago.
Either way, I love this on her.
The boots.
The pearls.
The attitude.
The only way I can get her to wear pants is by letting her wear her boots with them.
Just this morning she was so distraught over the prospect of a day spent in jeans that she screamed at me,
"Princesses don't wear pants!"
Then she sat in time-out until she decided otherwise.

"Sassy is pretty...Yes. It is!"
"Can you fix my hair like Cinderella's? All twisted up...Like a cinnamon roll!"
"Yes, Sir!" To Mama. Whenever given an order.
"Of coarse I can!" About 40 times a day, in a syrupy-sweet voice. Seriously the cutest. Ever.
"I have such a cute little body." What am I gonna do with her?
"Guts." It's her new favorite word. She uses it as much as possible, anyway she can. My favorite yesterday was a little ditty she made up while playing with Jude,
"Stinky butt! I'll poke your gut!" Ugh.

A little note to Princess Gwen...
Once upon a time there was a girl who rode bareback on a wild horse and dreamed of being a Princess. Well one day she had a letter saying that she was entered in a contest to be a Princess in a rodeo. Now this was a surprise but she was poor and knew she couldn't have an outfit to ride in a big rodeo. A week later here came another letter. She was picked to enter the contest. All the miners in the little town where she lived went together and bought an outfit for their Princess.
She was happy and scared as she had never ridden a horse with a saddle. She knew that riding in a princess dress in a saddle on a horse was a scary idea.
The package came on the mail wagon and the miners had a party for the little girl and gave her the outfit to wear in the big rodeo. When she opened the box...oh my gosh...istead of a princess dress there was a pair of cute jeans and a beautiful shirt with feathers on it.
OH MY...a Princess in Jeans?...OH NO.
But two weeks later on a sunny afternoon...there rode a Princess in jeans with a beautiful shirt and a head band and feathers in her hair riding proudly,
among twenty other girls, in the big rodeo.
The wonder of it all....she was voted to be the number one Princess for Idaho.
The miners were so proud of their Princess.
So little lady Gwen...Princesses do wear jeans...
love,
Gami
.
P.S.
Forgot to tell you Princess Gwen...wear your jeans proudly. You look so like a jean-princess.
There's a time for your jeans and a time for your dress up dress. Just have lots of fun and be happy.
