10 years

10 things I love about him...

Hey, better late than never, right?

1. His patience.
He never yells or loses his temper.
Never, EVER.
It never ceases to amaze me.
This has always been my very most favorite thing.

2. He loves in gifts.
He can't take the kids anywhere without getting them something special.
It makes them feel so special and I think that's special.

3. He is a strong leader. He's not afraid to let me run with something...
or to put me in my place. He never lets me get away with any crap.
And, yes, I do love that!

4. His work ethic.
Ask anyone.

5. His hands, and more importantly, his back rubs.
Ummm, maybe this is my very most favorite thing.
Or the fact that I get one nearly every night.

6. He's not afraid of housework. Or diapers.
It is not beneath him to mop the floors or change a poopy diaper.
And he does it for me often.

7. His blond eyelashes and the way his eyes crinkle when he smiles.
It just makes me happy.

8. The fact that he is not a pack-rat. It's a tendancy I can't understand.

9. His devotion to me. He has changed who I am. He is my hero.

10. His heart for God. He is an inspiration to everyone who knows him.

Bonus;

10 things you may or may not already know about us.

(Aren't you lucky!)

1. We started dating right after my 15th birthday.
I had been sent a prophetic dream that perfectly depicted a poem he had written about me.
We only ever found out because of a mutual friend putting the 2 together.

2. We dated for over a year before our first kiss.

3. Over two before our first argument.

4. He proposed on the lake (very near our home) under a full moon.
There were fireworks, literally, and I was presented with 10 roses by 10 of the most important men in my life, give or take a few. I still remember what each of them said to me.

5. Our engagement lasted 14 months after Lyle spontaneously decided to spend all of "our" money on school. He broke it to me (pun intended) when I was at my grandparents' for a month and 4 hours away! (;

6. We honeymooned in Disney World. It was one catastrophe after another. Lost birth control, lost make-up, stolen money, hurricanes and bug infested hotels. We had a blast.

7. The first year of our marriage was the hardest, to date.

8. He still won't talk and I still scream when angry.

9. He's the hermit, not me! True story.

10. We next to never watch tv. That's something I really love about us.
Call me weird, but I am love with the idea of more meaningful family time.
And I think we're pretty good at it. We work, play and read as a family every day.
That makes me happy.

Well, Lance, you told me I was marrying the wrong twin. I think you must've meant it since you haven't found anyone better than me. (;

Chad recited a poem about the beauty of the rose and how it paled in comparison to my beauty. I think he was practicing for Shel, LOL!

Christian said, and I quote, "Let's go skinny dipping!" No comment.

Everyone else; Dad, Beaux, Lanny, Ryan and Lyle, were all pretty generic. Okay, I can't remember what Mike said, and I'm pretty sure there was nothing generic about it! And who was the 10th guy?! Were there only 9??? I'll have to fo look through the pics...

1) NOT true. I heard Lyle yell at you once. I did. In the Blazer. But it was only that one time. It's pretty amazing what you witness as the third wheel.

2) He must not love me. He never buys me gifts.

3)True.

4)True.

5)I'll take your word for it.

6)True. But he should share his Pepsi.

7)Yeah, Blonde eyelashes are pretty endearing. But more so on Jude.

8) Very nice.(At least I imagine so.)

9)Okay, true. I used to hate him a little for changing you but now I see it's a good thing.

10)True.

1)Knew that
2)Knew that
3)Didn't know that
4)I was there
5)Yeah. Loser! =) Don't ever do that to me again! I mean, to Terah again.
6)Knew that.
7)Knew that.Ours too. Well, minus the three pregnancies.
8)Knew that
9)Kinda knew that
10)Very nice. WE are going to start being more like this too. I felt very inspired having next to no t.v. on our trip. It no longer holds the same appeal.
