Pumpkin Patch...

We don't do jack-o-lanterns.
I think they're creepy, ugly and messy. (:
So we told the kids they could each choose a little pumpkin all their own to take home and set on the doorstep.

We got a tractor-drawn hay ride out to the pumkin field.
I think that was the boys' favorite part.
Gwyneth was so concerned they were going to leave us there.
She kept a close watch on the tractor as it came and went with more groups.
Every time she saw it she would try to run up to it before it left again, thinking it wasn't coming back.

How many times did I tell the boys to stop kicking the poor pumkins?

And how many times did I tell them not to stomp in the dirt?

Many.

Jude. Always so much energy...

Gwyneth.
Faithfully trudging along on the quest for the perfect pumpkin...

Jude found one he likes!

Looks like Daddy is planning an ambush.

Love this one of Daddy and his boys.
Do you see how green these pumkins were?
Well, this is the shady side.

And this is the sunny side.
Quite the difference.
The prized pumpkins...

We'll pick another field next year. For sure.
This place was a little off.
No one working there seemed quite right in the head.
Very eerie, it was.

So cute! Looks like they had fun picking out their pumpkins! That is so funny you had to keep telling them to stop kicking the pumpkins...that's the first thing Owen did when we got to the pumpkin field! Then sis saw him do it and she was worse!!! She kicked every pumpkin she came across!!! I had to get after her more than Owen....kids are so funny!

Well, my boys probably would have tried driving the tractor an smashing the pumpkins. Oh yeah, Rowster would have picked up the dirt and started flinging it through the air, so keep in mind, it could have been far worse. =)

The pics are too cute.

Sorry the people were creepy. It is almost Halloween you know. (Why does even just typing that word feel *wrong* somehow?)
