Finally getting to the portraits of the kids for Easter!
Another task crossed off the "before baby" list...yay!
The countdown has begun.I've never yet made it past the next two weeks.
I set up a little studio in front of the french doors where the lighting is so beautiful.
That way I can sit the kids just inside, pop open the doors, and stand outside while I snap away. The light floods in perfectly on their eyes, even bounces up off the metal thresh-hold, kinda like a little reflector...pretty sweet.
Let me know what you think about the color, etc. on these. They look just perfect in photoshop and almost as good when I post them, but when viewing from any other program they look yuck...like WAY yuck! Irritating!

A little "Jude Law" for ya....does anyone else see it?
I was just telling Lyle how much he resembles him and not 2 days later Kaylee walked in and said, "He looks so much like Jude Law to me." Pretty funny, given his brother's name.
Always the dashing little gentleman...he still opens my door, even takes my keys and unlocks everything. And he's always sure to tell Sissy and I when we "look pretty." Jude is sure to disagree in most cases. (:

My hardest subject.
She hates every minute of it and her coloring is extremely difficult to photograph. She is so beautiful, though. I always feel guilty that I can't capture her quite like I should.

Awww, God has really blessed your family! Your kids look wonderful...especially the boys in their suits & Gwyneth in her hat. (Jayde has a couple of caps like that in different colours- so fun!).The look on Jude's face in the second picture is unhelpably endearing...
I think the pictures are really lovely. The lighting position is really nice- you've illuminated their faces etc so well and retained enough shadow where there should be. Awesome Terah! The first picture of Camdens face (enlarged) the colour is just barely a touch tungsten looking to me- but I think its probably my own prejudice because our kids have relatively olive complexions, and my monitor is on the fritz. I also usually would never have remarked on it only you asked people to comment on those features and I really couldnt find any criticism- constructive or otherwise! They are pictures to treasure! All of you Beck women incorporated could make lots of money over here!
Maybe after babies are born and life settles down we should all start up a blogging photog fellowship. We could pick different themes each month to challenge ourselves....maybe...one day....

But I'm so glad to finally see it! These are great. Don't ask me anything technical. But in my opinion they are beautiful pictures and I really need some of my boys in the next couple of weeks...=)
Yes, Cam-a-rams does resemble Jude Law in that first one.
I thought you were just doing a Lyle trick and posting something, then taking it off for more views or something?? I'm still not sure why he was doing that for awhile??
