1. I love homeschooling! Does that make me a total nerd, or what? (Oh, wait, I am to begin with!) I realize we've only just begun...but it is sooo much fun to sit down with the kids and have quality time with them...."Class time" is our favorite part of the day now. Yes, even Jude looks forward to it. We sing, pray, study, read Bible stories, and listen to our Bible DVDs from Grandma while we do activities and projects together. It is the most amazing experience to watch them learn and grow. They soak absolutely everything up. It's getting harder and harder to "wing it" and we can't wait to place our Sonlight order. I also really want to find a good preschool Bible/Sunday School program. Does anyone out there know of any?

2. Adah doesn't use her legs. She can sit and roll over, and she moves them all the time, but I've yet to get her to bear any weight at all on them. Not when I "stand" her up, not in the jumper, not in the walker. They just hang there. She is 7 months and should be doing this by now. She is doing extremely well in every other area, and is even advanced in most things...but I have this nagging feeling. I realize I may be jumping the gun on this, but I think I'll take her in for a check-up to see what they say....and now it's documented for my reference.

3. Gwyneth woke me up this morning at 3:15.
"Daddy! Daddy, are you still here?! Daddy, I need a hug and a smooch before you go to work!"
Daddy snored right through it all.

4. Camden told me last week that he loves me because I'm "prettier than all the rest". Today he told me he loves me, but likes it better when I'm not in my pajamas. (:

5. I'm back on the old treadmill every (I use the term lightly) day. What's new? I listen to sermons/pod casts the entire time. Much better than just staring at the wall for 35 minutes. And I can say that I'm striving to improve my mind along with my body!(;

6. Adah is so beyond baby food. Enough mush! Give me bread! Give me crackers! Give me french fries! (that last one was daddy's fault!) She still refuses a bottle or a sippy cup, no matter what the contents.

7. I'm revising the family schedule. And doing meal planning again. Most of the time my efforts are futile, but if I'm ever going to get anything done around here, we have to run like a well oiled machine. (I'm sure my dad has a catchier analogy. He's infamous for them.)

8. I love Jude's voice. I wish there were a way to capture every word annunciation for all time. He almost has what you'd think of as a little drawl. No one can resist the powers of it.

9. Still haven't taken down the Christmas tree. One more reason we need a tighter schedule around here! (:

10. Lyle hurt his back for the first time in ages. Bummer for him. Bummer for me. Now there's no reprieve from "Adah duty" when we're out and about. I can take her. We'll leave Daddy to the other 3..... muahahahaha!

Hi nerd, how ya doin?

I wouldn't be concerned about Adah yet. Avril still can't sit up, rolls over very seldom, and has no teeth! The only thing she does do is bear weight on those tiny little "daddy" legs. I know how you feel though. It really bugs me that Avril isn't sitting up yet.

I'm going to get a family schedule down too. Adam's school needs to take on a whole new strategy. This is next week's project. This week is devoted to getting over caffeine and sugar withdrawls. And getting over this silly cold.

Too cute about Gwyneth telling Lyle good-bye. Makes you wonder if she dreamt that she missed her chance or something.

Poor Lyle. I will pray for his back.

It doesn't really "bug" me that she isn't doing it...I'm just worried that maybe she can't. (I'm reminded of 2 babies we know and love.) And because she is so advanced in everything else, it almost feels like something is wrong in this area. I realize I'm probably overreacting...silly Mama!

Eeep, its never nice to feel worried about something. If Levi was our firstborn, I think I wouldve worried a lot more about Jayde....she didnt walk till 15 months or run or jump till much much later :S. But she was always super happy, intelligent and talkative even from a few months old. Maybe Ava's body hasnt caught up to her mind yet :) I hope thats all it is, will remember to pray for Ava. And Lyle.

That you love homeschooling makes you a total mum. You were already a total nerd :P. What kind of preschool Bible/Sunday School program? There's always the Awana Cubbies books...(I think they have a puggles? program now too for younger kids).

5- Good for you. Ive got to do this. I get in a circle of being so tired that I dont exercise, which makes me even more tired and fat...its a vicious cycle. Im going to take a leaf outta your book. Tomorrow. (Its always tomorrow isnt it? :S).

Have fun revisiting your schedule. There is something about list making and organising that I find quite exciting :) I am definitely a total nerd.
